Weather and road trips. Apricot skies, rolling hills, the hush of passing showers. The landscape a rolling screen of changing colour. Early starts chasing pink mornings, outrunning the heat of high summer. Windows down, soundtrack on, nowhere urgent

The purple mountains appeared to change colour as the sun lowered in the sky. The water in the pool was warm and the air balmy. Exposed skin turning brown contrasted against white lines from my swimmers, making me feel French and interesting. I caugh
